Architectural Archive Glass Collection

Architectural Archive has one of the country's largest collections of authentic L.C. Tiffany leaded art glass windows and other great glass makers from the American Gilded Age.

Architectural Archive closely examines the glass and glazing techniques of the great craftsmen from this past era.  As we pull original glass from some of the  antique opalescent glass used in Tiffany windows, this allows us to send samples to stained glass factories to study the formula to recreate and fabricate an exact likeness.

Foreground glass Tiffany used in his Finer windows was fabricated from his own furnaces and is often found in his very rare lamps.  This glass is refered to as Tiffany furnace lamp glass, mottel glass or striated glass which is known for its deep and saturated colors.

After many years of studying and possessing these spectacular windows, we have perfected the art of re-creating pieces that mirror the original mastered artwork.  Back plating on these masterpieces were very important to the depth of field in color and shading again we have the originals to study from wich have helped us become masters ourselves
