Lighting is a key component of any design. You can pick out the furniture, paint the walls, and hang window treatments, but without the right lighting, your environment will not be complete. Lighting is an opportunity to make a statement. It has to serve the function of its basic principle: to illuminate the space. However, the functionality of a fixture is just a small part of lighting. You can change the mood of a space by altering the color temperature based on the amount of light you bring into the area.
